(DXL) was originally established in 1992 as a partnership firm under the name Design Enclave by Mr. Akshay Kohojkar, Mr. Ajay Yeri, and Mr. Ashok Bapat—visionary engineers with significant international experience. In 1994, the firm evolved into a private limited company, marking the beginning of its steady and structured
growth.
Over the past three decades, DXL has built a strong reputation in the field of civil and
structural consultancy, successfully delivering a wide range of complex industrial and infrastructure projects. Our portfolio includes chemical plants, petrochemical and fertilizer
facilities, gas processing units, power plants, steel plants, bridges, hotels, commercial complexes, and residential developments.
DXL operates from their own designed and constructed office building which is located in Navi Mumbai, equipped with advanced engineering software, modern IT infrastructure, and a highly skilled team of professionals. Mr. Akshay Kohojkar is the Director and Founder of Design Excellence (India) Private Limited since year 1994. He holds a degree of M. TECH. , MIE, MISSE.

In April 2013 from M/s. Tekla.
We have been empanelled by Govt of India & Ministry of Tourism for Panel II i.e. Feasibility Studies, Action Plans, Professional Services.
We have been awarded as the Winner of Model Competition as “Tekla Popular Choice” Tekla India 2013 from M/s.Tekla.

Our Signature Projects
Hotel Sahara Star
DXL were appointed as principal Structural Engineering Consultant handling entire civil and structural engineering for this seven-star prestigious hotel project at Mumbai Airport. Project comprised of many unique features like large pillar less dome, one of the largest column free event hall, 3 basement adjacent to busiest roads on three sides, large prestressing, three dimensionally bent, columns and cantilevers etc.
Client –Dorsch Consult India Pvt. Ltd.
DORSC Consult India Private Limited was pleased to avail Structural Engineering Services from M/s Design Excellence (India) Private Limited for the Expansion of Domestic passenger terminal building at Dehradun Airport. Scope of work of M/s Design Excellence (India) Private Limited included but not limited to Structural engineering, concept, schematic and detailed engineering analysis, design and preparation of detailed drawings, preparation of BOQ & tender documents as well as technical troubleshooting for the entire duration of the project.
10 Migd Prestressed Product Water Storage Tanks(2NOS) 72M Dia at Hamiriya, UAE for Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority
- Study of GA drawings & construction drawings issued by client, raising Request for Information if any.
- Study of project design basis, Geotechnical information to be issued by client and advising clients about any additional investigation if felt necessary.
- Performing structural design of both tanks, complete for given soil conditions at both locations as per recommendations of relevant British Codes. Design report shall be submitted for further review / approval by Client.
- Providing technical support to Poyry for replying to client’s comments, modifying design report incorporating the same including issue of final design report.
Polyester Plant PET-3 & IDY
Client: Reliance Industries
The scope of work encompassed comprehensive civil and structural design along with
Project Management Consultancy services for a wide range of facilities within the project.
Key structures included the CP Building, LT and HT Substations, Amorphous Silo, Pet
Product Silo, TPA Unloading Area, multiple Piperacks, and the SSP Building. In addition, the
scope covered specialized areas such as the Tank Farm, OSC Area, Teg Boilout Area, HTM
Heater (Vaporizer), HTM Control Room, and the AWH. This broad and diverse scope reflects
the technical complexity and integrated approach undertaken to ensure successful project
execution.
